Nexstar Media Group returned $56 million to shareholders in dividends during the first quarter of 2026, maintaining its regular quarterly cash dividend payout of $1.86 per share. The company founded 30 years ago by its leader, Perry Sook, has voted to do it again in Q2.

It had been the home of “The Fanatic,” offering a Sports Talk format under owner CRC Broadcasting. Today, the facility is officially under the ownership of Ken Brentlinger, in a transaction that saw Jon Yinger of Broadcast Properties LLC serve as the exclusive broker.

"These individuals have received induction by the determination of the Radio Hall of Fame 2026 Nominating Committee, who annually meet to determine inductees who contributed with greatness to the radio industry and have since passed away," the Chicago-based Radio Hall of Fame announced on Monday.

With the FCC signaling that it's perfectly fine with one company owning three full-power stations in a DMA, the life of WRTV-6 since its sale by The E.W. Scripps Co. has been rather fruitful. Now, Circle City Broadcasting — owned by DuJuan McCoy — has unveiled a fresh station theme and brand slogan.

In mid-July, the FCC’s Media Bureau signed off on the transaction. As the month came to its conclusion, the deal officially closed —making "ABC 36" a sibling to the NBC affiliate serving Lexington, Ky.
