The longtime General Manager of the radio properties serving Baltimore owned by Urban One will be retiring at the end of 2024, ending more than three decades of service to the company led by Alfred Liggins III. Who is his successor?

It was first shared in a blog post from Chairman Carr discussing the agenda for the FCC's December Open Meeting. Now, more details can be shared regarding a Report and Order that would see the Commission amend its rules "to provide regulatory certainty" for all classes of low-power TV broadcasters.

Bill Wilson, Stu Rosenstein and Erik Hellum, along with Claire Yenicay, are finalizing their company's presentation at an upcoming institutional investor event planned for December 3 at Florida Atlantic University and presented by the financial advisory house that's home to Director of Research Michael Kupinski.

It was originally anticipated in early October, but the shutdown of the federal government resulted in a pause of all non-essential efforts at the FCC, which furloughed more than 1,000 individuals over the funding squabble on Capitol Hill.  Now, the Commission has released its quarterly station totals. The big takeaway: commercial AM and FM stations declined in number once again.

The nation's dominant Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) radio broadcasting company has expanded again — this time with a deal that gives them a pair of FM radio stations serving the Colorado River market of Yuma, Ariz.

In the radio industry, he's known for his nearly 15 years as the owner of Wolf Creek Radio Broadcasting. Now, Shawn Faxon is adding to his station roster.

It's a unique community-focused noncommercial FM that in recent times has been seeking listener donations to help build a new radio tower, thus making it truly "Williamsport Community Radio."
