1. Startup and Shutdown

Launching MAPPLE

Japanese operating systems

Double click the shortcut icon  on the desktop or you can launch the program from the start menu:

Non-Japanese Operating Systems

Assuming that you have already installed Locale Emulator, right click on the Mapple 18 desktop shortcut icon.  Select Locale Emulator and then click on "Run In Japanese" or if appropriate "Run in Japanese (Admin)".

Launching RCM files

The .rcm file extension is used by MAPPLE for saved data files.  To launch MAPPLE and load the RCM file:

  • On Japanese operating systems, just double-click on the file.
  • On non-Japanese operating systems, right-click the file and select Locale Emulator as described above.

Exiting Mapple

There are three different ways to exit the program:

  • Click on the Mapple Button and then select [終了].
  • Click the "X"  in the top right title bar.
  • Hold down the [alt] key and press [F4].
