The made-for-TV movie was a genre that helped to make Irv Wilson an integral broadcast TV executive in the 1970s. Wilson died on Thursday at the age of 93, following a short illness. His work includes an acclaimed account of the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, which aired on ABC some 50 years ago as a "Hallmark Hall of Fame" presentation.
