This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

At 433 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Erwinville, or 10 miles west of Port Allen, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Baton Rouge, Baker, Port Allen, Oak Hills Place, Brusly, Rosedale, Grosse Tete, Merrydale, Erwinville, Gardere, Brownfields, Westminster, and Baton Rouge Airport. This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 138 and 161. Interstate 12 near mile marker 1. Interstate 110 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 8.
