Class A10 Impact Check

This REC Networks search tool is intended to reflect our positions in the non-REC Petition for Rulemaking to establish an intermediate "A10" class of service, which specifies for a maximum FM facility of 10 kilowatts at 100 meters height above average terrain with a service contour of 32 kilometers. This search tool is also an interactive version of the raw data provided by REC in connection with the FCC proceeding MB Docket 24-183.

Searches in this tool can be done to check upgrade potential for Class A stations operating on Channels 221~300 (92.1~107.9) except in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands where REC opposes the creation of Class A10 due to the unique methods used to determine service classes in that region.

Searches in this tool can be done for LPFM and FM Translator facilities to check for nearby Class A stations on the same or adjacent channels and determine the potential interference impact in the event that a nearby Class A station was to upgrade to Class A10 if such a service class is ever adopted.

To perform a search, enter the Class A FM, LPFM or FM Translator station's call sign. If the FM station uses an '-FM' suffix in their call sign that must be included. LPFM stations will always use '-LP' after their 4-letter call sign. Alternatively, you may also enter the FCC Facility ID number for the subject station of this search report.

For LPFM stations that filed their original construction permit application in the December, 2023 Third Generation LPFM Filing Window, only those facilities that were initially granted prior to June 26, 2024 are included in this report.

Data is this report is for evaluation purposes only and is not be used in any FCC filings under the current rules. REC is not liable for errors. See additional notes following search results for more information.
