This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

Wisconsin River At Portage affecting Columbia County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wisconsin River at Portage. * WHEN...Until tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, There is general overflow of the river. Water is near homes in the Blackhawk Park area of Portage on the south side of the river along Old River Road. Floodwaters are over West Lake Road and Blackhawk Road in the Blackhawk Park area. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 17.1 feet just after midnight tonight.
