This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Chester. * WHEN...Until Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Unleveed islands near Chester and the prison farm floods. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 27.2 feet and rising. - Recent Activity...The river rose above flood stage on May 27 and is still rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.0 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday afternoon. - Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
