This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt continues. * WHERE...Porcupine River near Fort Yukon. * WHEN...Until 215 PM AKDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding is occuring in sloughs and other low-lying areas on the east side of Fort Yukon. The water level in Fort Yukon will crest the mid-week. Minor flooding will continue through at least the middle of the week, with water receding very slowly by late in the week. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12 PM AKDT Monday,a river observer reported that water levels had receded approximately one foot since Saturday with only a few inches of water remaining over the roadway near Liquor Store Lake. Sloughs near the airport remain just above bankful. Satellites and ground observations continue to indicate abundant snow in the Porcupine Mountains.
