REC Networks - 2025 Professional Services Rate Card (NCE FM - Reserved Band)

This rate card is for full-service noncommercial educational (NCE) FM facilities operating in the reserved band between 88.1~91.9 MHz.  It is also for Class D NCE FM facilities on any channel.  It is effective from February 1, 2025.

Small station base rates apply to all Class D stations as well a station in any class with a 60 dBu service contour of 12.9 kilometers or less, which is the equivalent of 250 watts at 100 meters height above average terrain (HAAT) measued using 8 radials and with either NED1 or GLOBE terrain data, whichever returns the lower HAAT.  

Large station base rates apply to all other NCE facilities.

W-9 and post-payment is available only for public sector applicants only with a purchase order. 

A premium applies for base rate fees on requests within the Nielsen Audio Top 50 media markets.  Premiums do not apply to Class D stations.

Facility related services

Add-ons for Minor Modification and Channel Change base rate services eligible for bundling - rate based on number of services needed:

  • Channel 6 §73.525 study (for reserved band channels that are §73.525 short spaced)
  • Directional antenna study (with or without international compliance study)
  • International compliance study without directional antenna.
  • "Raleigh" waiver request.

Top 50 Market base rate premiums

Premium is based on the total population that is within the 60 dBu service contour of the current facility that is located within any top 50 Nielsen Audio market and 50% of the 60 dBu contour is inside of a US Census Bureau designated urbanized area (2020 definition).  Premiums do not apply to grandfathered Class D stations.
