FCCdata: UK update, new Ireland independent FM radio data

We have conducted a routine update of the UK MW, FM and DAB broadcast parameter data from Ofcom.

In Ireland for RTE facilities, the latest public data that ComReg is providing is still vintage 2014.

On March 15, 2023, tthe Broadcasting Authority of Ireland was dissolved and replaced by a new regulator, Coimisiún na Meán (CnaM).  BAI/CnaM regulates independent broadcasting in Ireland.  In July, REC had made a Freedom of Information request to the new CnaM to obtain technical parameters for all FM facilities in the State.  CnaM has granted our request.  As a result, for the first time, FCCdata is now displaying information on Irish national, regional and local commercial and community radio services.  We have asked CnaM to periodically publish this data.  As such, we cannot guarantee how often we will be able to update this data.

We can only depend on the transparency from ComReg and CnaM when it comes to us getting updated Ireland information on FCCdata.
