FAQ: A university filed for a student-ran station but the college also has an NPR station. They claimed 5 points. Is this correct?
Select FAQ Category:
No. They can not take the diversity in ownership point because of their full power holdings. Student-operated stations at universities with cross-owned full powers can normally only claim 4 points maximum.
However, if the LPFM station is not licensed to the university itself, but instead to a separateĀ organization such as a student union or alumni association, then the diversity point can be claimed.
