FAQ: Once I am issued my construction permit, how long do I have to build?

Select FAQ Category:

You are originally given an 18-month construction period. If you need additional time and you can show the FCC that you have made progress in your construction, you may extend (or "toll") your permit for another 18 months by making an informal request with the FCC.  This applies to original construction permits only and does not apply to modifications.  For modifications, the limit is 18 months with no extensions.  If the construction permit expires, then you will have to reapply.
