How to use this map

Use the pull down bar to select which market's grid you want to look at. When the channels appear, click on the channel you want or you can use the pull down bar after the market name to select the channel you want to view. "Select channels" on the pull down bar shows the locations used for the calculation of potential channels in the next LPFM filing window.

The dots on the map indicate a channel point:
- Channel point where no second-adjacent channel waiver is required.
- Channel point where a second adjacent channel waiver is required and the full power station would likely be at 80 dBu or stronger thus making it easier to get a waiver.
- Channel point where a second adjacent channel waiver is required and the full power station would likely be weaker than 80 dBu thus making it harder to get a waiver.
- On individual channel maps, indicates the channel point location for a potential LPFM station shown in the list below.

Avaiability shown on Channels 203 to 220 (88.5~91.9) reflects a potential elimination of the FM to TV6 protections being considered by the FCC in MB Docket 03-185. This is based on 'Plan A' proposed by REC Networks in reply comments. National Public Radio and the advocates for the FM6 'Franken FM' stations also support the complete elimination of FM to TV6 protections on Channels 203 to 220. These channels may not be available if either the FCC upholds the FM to TV6 protection requirements or if they are eliminated, they are not eliminated in time for the next LPFM filing window.
