This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS DEVELOPING SUNDAY AFTERNOON... .A Pacific storm system will move to the Great Basin Sunday, allowing gusty winds to develop in the afternoon. These winds, along with very low humidity, will likely produce critical fire conditions. These winds and critical fire conditions are expected to continue Monday and Tuesday. The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM MDT Monday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 110 Southwest Mountains/Gila NF/Apache NF/GLZ, Fire Weather Zone 111 Southwest Deserts and Lowlands/Las Cruces BLM/GLZ, Fire Weather Zone 112 South Central Lowlands and Southern Rio Grande Valley/BLM/GLZ and Fire Weather Zone 113 Capitan and Sacramento Mountains/Lincoln NF/LNZ. * TIMING...Beginning at noon and lasting into the evening hours on Sunday and Monday. * WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...5 to 10 percent Sunday; 7 to 12 percent Monday. * TEMPERATURES...80s lowlands, 70s mountains. * EXPERIMENTAL RFTI...4 to 7 Near Critical to Extreme on Sunday. 3 to 6 Near Critical to Critical on Monday. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
