This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of central and south central Virginia, including the following counties and independent cities, in central Virginia, Chesterfield, City of Colonial Heights and Henrico. In south central Virginia, City of Petersburg and Prince George. * WHEN...Until 445 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 245 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area through 4 am EDT. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
