This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

...RED FLAG WARNING SUNDAY FROM NOON UNTIL 10 PM FORE MUCH OF THE CENTRAL AND WESTERN PORTION OF THE FORECAST AREA DUE TO STRONG WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY... ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH MONDAY FROM 11 AM UNTIL 10 PM ALONG AND EAST OF THE NORTH CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY, AND FROM 3 PM UNTIL 10 PM FOR AREAS FARTHER WEST, DUE TO STRONG WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY... .A weather pattern conducive for large fire growth will develop Sunday and continue through Wednesday as a broad trough develops over the western United States keeping the flow over New Mexico dry and windy. The strongest winds and critically low relative humidity values Sunday will favor the central mountain chain and northeast highlands westward. Then, relative humidity plummets over eastern areas as well on Monday. Winds will strengthen over central and eastern areas late Monday morning, but not until mid afternoon farther west. ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING... * AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Highlands (Zones 123) from noon until 10 PM MDT Sunday, and from 11 AM until 10 PM Monday. * 20 FOOT WINDS...On Sunday, south and southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph. On Monday, southwest and west 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...On Sunday, 13 to 18 percent. On Monday, 6 to 10 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
