This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

As spring snowmelt continues, highs in the 50s and lows in the low 30s will maintain high streamflows in the Copper Basin through the weekend. Snowpack melting off of higher terrain will impact creeks and streams in and around Glennallen, including Moose Creek and Trooper Creek, which will continue to see rises with excessive runoff possible. * WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt continues to be possible. * WHERE...The following area, Copper River Basin. This includes the city of Glennallen. * WHEN...Through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Flooding of the Glenn Highway is possible near Moose Creek, with flooding on Terrace Drive from Trooper Creek also impacting low areas around Glennallen. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Snowmelt will continue to cause large rises on the small streams which flow in and around Glennallen. Flooding of low areas and low roads can be expected to continue through the weekend. People in the area should prepare for high water and move belongings in low lying areas and the floodplain to higher ground. - Http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood - If you live near or along streams in the Glennallen area stay alert and be prepared to take action if a Flood Warning or Advisory is issued.
