This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

For the Sabine River...including Mineola, Hawkins, Gladewater, Longview, Beckville, Logansport...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Sabine River at Longview. * WHEN...From late Friday night until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Lowland flooding will continue for several days. Oil field operations will be curtailed and timber resources will suffer severe flooding. Fisherman should use caution as currents are swift. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 21.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Saturday morning and continue rising to 28.2 feet Sunday evening.
