This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Meramec River near Sullivan. * WHEN...Until late Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, The main entrance gate at Onondaga Cave State Park begins flooding near this height. This may eventually force the park to use the rear entrance as the primary entrance to the park. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 12.4 feet and falling. - Recent Activity...The river first rose above flood stage Monday afternoon, April 29. It crested near 14.1 feet this morning, April 30. - Forecast...The river is expected to continue falling to below flood stage tomorrow afternoon. It will continue falling back toward base flow this weekend. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
