Southwest winds will strengthen in the presence of widespread sub-15 percent and in many locations, single digit minimum relative humidity. A repeat of critical fire weather conditions is forecast Friday across much of eastern and portions of central New Mexico. * AREA AND TIMING...Middle Rio Grande Valley (Zone 106), Sandia and Manzano Mountains (Zone 124), Central Highlands (Zone 125), East Central Plains (Zone 126), Northeast Highlands (Zone 123), and Northeast Plains (Zone 104) late this morning through this evening and again late morning Friday through Friday evening. * 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts between 45 and 60 mph Thursday, then west 20 to 30 mph with gusts between 40 and 50 mph on Friday. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values between 8 and 13 percent Thursday, then 10 and 15 percent on Friday. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
