This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

* WHAT...Southwest winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. * WHERE...Portions of central, east central, northeast, and southeast New Mexico. * WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 8 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of blowing dust will develop Thursday afternoon and will be more significant south of I-40, especially in southern Chaves County where very low visibility may create dangerous driving conditions. Motorists traveling in or through Chaves County on Thursday afternoon may consider alternate routes.
