This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

Ouachita River At Thatcher L&D affecting Calhoun, Bradley and Union Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Ouachita River at Thatcher L&D. * WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 79.0 feet, Property in low lying areas needs to be removed. Access roads to oil and gas rigs may be flooded. Levee gates should be closed before the river reaches 80 feet. There is minor flooding at this level. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 79.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this morning and continue falling to 77.0 feet Monday morning. - Flood stage is 79.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
