FAQ:Are LPFM stations required to file Ownership Reports - Form 323-E?

Select FAQ Category:

Biennial ownership reports are used by the FCC to track the diversity of ownership and the concentration of media.  Full service stations file these reports between October 1 and December 1 of each odd-numbered year.  Non-biennial ownership reports are filed by full-service stations after specific events such as within 30 days of the grant of an original construction permit and within 30 days of consummating an assignment of license or transfer of control.

LPFM stations are not required to file any Ownership Reports (Form 323-E).

Note: Form 323 (without the E) is used by full-service commercial broadcast stations. Form 323-E is used by full-service noncommercial educational broadcast stations.
