This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Neosho River at Oswego affecting Labette and Cherokee Counties. Neosho River near Parsons affecting Labette and Neosho Counties. Neosho River near Chanute affecting Neosho and Allen Counties. Neosho River near Erie affecting Neosho County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neosho River near Chanute. * WHEN...Until just after midnight tonight. * IMPACTS...At 28.5 feet, Flood waters may flow across old Highway 169 north of Chanute. Agricultural flooding will also occur. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 29.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 23.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this afternoon and continue falling to 10.2 feet early Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
