This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Neosho River at Oswego affecting Labette and Cherokee Counties. Neosho River near Parsons affecting Labette and Neosho Counties. Neosho River near Chanute affecting Neosho and Allen Counties. Neosho River near Erie affecting Neosho County. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neosho River near Erie. * WHEN...Until tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 36.0 feet, The intersection of Main Street and just south of 7th Street becomes flooded to a depth of near 10 inches for a distance of 10 to 15 yards. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 36.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 27.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Wednesday morning and continue falling to 13.8 feet early Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
