The E.W. Scripps Co. has promoted the leaders of its Detroit and Salt Lake City stations, respectively, to the twin roles of Regional Vice President of Local Media. In these roles, they will continue as general managers for their home local television stations as well as overseeing a regional group of Scripps local stations.

The Center for Sales Strategy (CSS) has a new Senior Vice President of Sales. It is a woman with more than 25 years of experience who is inbound from Cox Enterprises, where she held various senior leadership roles, including Chief Revenue Officer at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.  

The Scripps Howard Fund and Scripps Howard Foundation, each nonprofit organizations linked to The E.W. Scripps Co., awarded some $9.8 million to community and journalism programs during 2024, a nearly 10% increase from 2023.

Flag Family Media will be able to close on its $600,000 purchase of a News/Talk radio station serving Fargo, N. Dakota. A listener had objected to the deal based on a Facebook post by a host at the buyer's current radio stations, on the grounds that what he said demonstrated why it would be “dangerous” for the sale to happen.
